- Diagnostic Findings Verified Check Engine Light concern and performed a complete system scan. Found diagnostic trouble code: P203B-00 — Reductant Level Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Inspected the wiring and electrical connectors at the DEF/urea sensor for signs of corrosion, damage, loose connections, or other visible concerns. No connector or wiring issues were found during the inspection. Reviewed available technical service information and found a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) indicating that this fault can be caused by a low-voltage condition. During testing, the truck was found to need batteries. Based on the battery condition and the applicable service information, low system voltage is the likely cause of the stored P203B-00 code. Repair / Verification Cleared the stored diagnostic trouble code and performed a test drive while monitoring the system. The Check Engine Light remained off and P203B-00 did not return during the test drive. Recommendation Recommend replacing the weak batteries to ensure proper system voltage. At this time, no additional DEF/urea system repairs are recommended. If P203B-00 returns after the battery issue has been corrected, the vehicle will need to be taken to a Ford dealer for further diagnosis/programming. The procedure requires Ford-specific equipment to perform the necessary DEF/urea sensor programming/reflash. Current Status: Code cleared successfully. Vehicle test driven and Check Engine Light has not returned.
